I JUST saw a screening last night...this builds beautifully until your guts are twisted. It IS wonderfully written.

It feels so comforting to hear filmmakers actually have an appreciation for romcoms. Romcoms can be good but so many uninspired people make them. Theres so many bad ones to the point that people write off the whole genre and it IRRITATES me! Gotta say i have high hopes. This better be good!

i watch this once a day so i can forget all my problems in life... but seriously, what an amazing cast, and i love that this "interview" balanced out the seriousness of all the other interviews in the junket. thank you ray mendoza and alex garland for making this film, i have appreciated so many things because of it.

I LOVED IT!!! I was surprised to see it more of 'Theatre of the Absurd' than wacky comedy. Using suburbia as a parallel universe, there were actually a few scenes that made me wonder how real it would get (nothing about the suburbs is 'real'; it's all super-polite people who stave off anything with tension). I liked how upper middle class suburban men relate while sipping cans of beer which is more uncomfortable to watch than you can imagine. Filled with awkward silences which curve-ball into simmering tension and violent confrontations (it's not all laughs). There is nothing predicable about this film; everything is like 'what it's like' what it's like if 'what it's like' where what it's like. In short; a funny poem. Hats off to Andrew DeYoung!
